I sew these using cotton fabric and a synthetic stuffing, with organic catnip I purchase from a local shop. Sometimes I use recycled fabric (either completely unused or laundered). I've sold many of these at craft fairs and have gifted many to friends--I receive excellent compliments every time. I sew tails onto them for the frisky kitties who love to toss 'em around (my floofy Pepe being one of them :3). My cats play with these ceaselessly and that's what I'm hearing from others as well :) I use bright colours for the older kitties who have failing eyesight, and darker colours to train the younger floofs to use their powerful eyesight and heightened senses.
